Due to a technical malfunction on the editor’s part, all but 14 photos from the Grayhorse In-Lon-Schka dances were lost. We have posted the surviving photos for your enjoyment. More photos will come from Hominy and Pawhuska In-Lon-Schka dances and this time the editor won’t touch them.

I have a visiting scholar, an Athabascan , Kathleen Mecklin from Alaska who would like to attend InLonschka. Could you e-mail times and directions to me for the Hominy dances? Thank you.

Hominy dances start 1:00 thursday june 18, at the Hominy villiage. S.E. part of town, very small town, ask anybody for directions. They dance afternoon and evening Thursday- Saturday & Sunday afternoon. The same thing the next week in Pawhuska. Thursday afternoon will be a very big deal in Hominy because a new drum keeper will be “paying for the drum”.

Good job on the photos. It is good to see this as I have been unable to attend since I moved to Arizona.

Great job on telling the story by pictures. It is really great to see so many people dedicated to our Osage ways. You can see in the pictures that they are very proud. Keep up the good work Shannon and Chay!
