Patricia A. “Patsy” Kent passed away Sunday, Feb. 7 in the Pawhuska Nursing Home. She was 64 years old.
Patsy was born June 12, 1951 in Cushing, Okla., the daughter of Lawrence Pierce Murray and Christine Hamilton NoEar. On Nov. 5, 1971, she married Marland Kent in Newkirk, Okla. He preceded her in death Oct. 2, 1983. A homemaker, Patsy was a member of the American Legion Post 198 Women's Auxiliary, the Osage Nation, the Klash-Kah-She Club and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She is survived by:
Her mother: Christine Hamilton NoEar; sister Bonnie Pratt, sister Jackie Rios, brother Frank Murray; sons, Thomas Goombi and wife, Tonya; Vincent Kent and Maurice Kent; daughter, Virginia Hollis and husband, John; fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, as well as other family and friends. In addition to her husband, Patsy was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Pierce Murray and her twin sister Pamela Murray.
Patsy will lie in state at the Indian Camp Chapel in the Pawhuska Indian Village. Rosary will be held Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m., in the chapel. Traditional services will be Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 8 a.m., also at the chapel with Herman Mongrain Lookout officiating. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Pawhuska. Fr. Sean Donovan will officiate. Interment will follow at the Pawhuska City Cemetery.
