Health Smart needs an audit:
The appointed Health Care service company (Health Smart of Oklahoma) has a problem in servicing the Osage Account. They do not answer their phones, emails and/or return calls. As requested, our family reapplied on December 28, 2015 through email/fax. Since that date we followed up and had to reapply (3) three times, this is unacceptable.
On January 15, 2016, while filing (2) new prescriptions my card was denied even though my card had an expiration date of April 2016. I am currently waiting for the refund. One would believe that since they have been handling the Osage account, for some years that all it would take is to push some buttons on their computer, and wallah – it’s done.
Their lack of concern should be discussed and reviewed promptly. I believe an audit of the (Health Smart) contract should and would be appropriate, considering the services they have been providing.
The Osage need to know Health Smart is reliable enough to continue using them. If this is the way Health Smart conducts business, maybe the Osage need to look elsewhere for the same type insurance services. There must be other providers with a better record in handling this type of service, perhaps, there could be an Osage service company available, or our own LLC could handle our account. Surely we could handle in house.
