The Osage Nation WIC Clinic staff in Fairfax is inviting the public to view the newly remodeled facility during a Thursday July 7 open house.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the WIC clinic located at 261 N. Main St.
According to the Nation’s WIC mission statement: The Women Infants & Children (WIC) Department’s mission is to promote healthy lifestyles by supplementing the lives of women, infants, and children through nutrition education, breastfeeding support, outreach and referrals. WIC is a supplemental program funded by the USDA and designed to help families with health and nutrition. Osage Nation WIC is income-based serving eligible pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women as well as their infants and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk and reside within the state of Oklahoma.
