David Conrad, the former deputy director for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs, has been appointed and confirmed to serve on the Osage Nation Energy Services board of directors.
Conrad was sworn in on Sept. 21 by ON Trial Court Judge Marvin Stepson and his appointment was approved by the Fifth Osage Nation Congress on Sept. 29 during the Tzi-Zho Session.
Conrad has also served as director for Tribal and Intergovernmental Affairs in the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs. According to energy.gov, he has 20 years of intergovernmental affairs experience in the energy, environmental, economic development, and natural and cultural resources arenas. He also served as the Osage Nation’s first Director of Intergovernmental Affairs under former Principal Chief Jim Gray.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Santa Clara University and a master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Administration from the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay.
