Raen Holding selected for Native All State Softball Team

Raen Holding has been selected for the 2019 Oklahoma Native All State Softball Team. The players are selected by the Oklahoma Native All State Association (ONASA). The ONASA All State Games have been scheduled for June 14, 2019 at Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Raen is 18 years old and a senior at Hominy High School. She is the daughter of Christian and Jennifer Holding and big sister to August, Izabella, and Luiza.

Currently, Raen is playing slow-pitch softball and throwing discus and shot for the Lady Bucks.  She is on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is a member of the National Honor Society. She is also on the worship team for the Wynona Assembly of God. Raen graduates in May and will start at Southwestern College in August. She has accepted a softball scholarship and an academic scholarship from Southwestern and will be majoring in Health Science with a Pre-Physical Therapy track.

Raen is a member of the Osage Nation and is from the Sun Carrier Clan, her Osage name is Hu-Tha-To-Me. She was recently honored as the Head Lady for the Sovereignty Day Powwow and has been asked to be the Kihekah Steh Princess for 2019.
