COVID-19 Update from OK State Department of Health as of Nov. 19, 2020

The Osage News is moving to a daily summary of COVID-19 data compiled by the Oklahoma State Department of Health as cases rise within the state. The daily update will focus on Osage County COVID case numbers and other cities frequented by Osage County citizens, as well as the changing day-to-day data per community.

According to the OSDH, Oklahoma has a total of 30,484 active cases of the COVID-19 virus.

As of Nov. 19, Osage County has a total of 18 deaths. Since Nov. 9, there has been one death recorded in the county. There are a total of 229 active cases in the county and a total of 1,502 recoveries. 

The OSDH provides free COVID-19 testing at 80 locations throughout Oklahoma and encourages everyone to get tested. An interactive map of testing sites can be found by clicking here. According to the Centers for Disease Control, one of the easiest ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to wear a mask, wash your hands often, and social/physical distance from others.
