The Osage Nation Health Services Wah-Zha-Zhe Health Center is holding its second COVID-19 vaccine event at the Tulsa Osage Casino Hotel on Saturday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Vaccine injections will be administered in the casino’s Skyline Event Center by clinic staff and is open to anyone who is age 18 or older who is Osage, Native American or Non-Native, according to the clinic. This event will also serve as an opportunity for individuals who received their first Moderna vaccine shot at the Feb. 21 event to return for the second/ booster dose.
The Tulsa Osage Casino Hotel is located at 951 W. 36th Street North, which is just off the Gilcrease Expressway about five miles north of downtown. The Skyline Event Center entrance is located on the lower level of the casino.
The WZZHC is requiring individuals to have a photo ID when arriving at the event. “You will NOT have to have an established health chart at our clinic before getting a COVID-19 vaccine,” according to the event announcement.
“We are providing second Moderna doses/shots for those people who participated in our previous WZZHC COVID-19 vaccine event(s) on Sunday 2/21/21 as well as first vaccine shots to any person (Native and Non-Native) who is 18 years old or older,” the clinic stated.
Also, during the March 27 event the WZZHC will have a limited supply of Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine shots, which will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Otherwise, the clinic will be giving doses of Moderna, which is a two-shot vaccine.
The clinic also notes: “We are not able to give second doses to people that got their first dose from a different health facility other than the WZZHC.”
