Alice Goodfox announces her candidacy for re-election to the Osage Nation Congress

By Alice Goodfox

My name is Alice Goodfox and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Osage Nation Congress.

I reside in Hominy, OK with my son Joseph Goodfox Jr.

I am the daughter of Rosa-Raye Hill Pledger and Jim Pledger, the granddaughter of Marguerite Matin Waller and Raymond Hill, the great-granddaughter of Helen (Pratt) and Walter Matin and Rose Neal Hill, and the great-great granddaughter of Josephine (Chouteau) and Henry Pratt.

I am a shareholder and restricted land owner, a cook for the Zon-Zo-Li committee, a member of Klash-Kah-She Club and a member of the Osage Shareholders Association. I have served as the 2nd Speaker for the Osage Congress for two years, Chaired the Governmental Operations Committee and Congressional Affairs Committee, and I have also been on the following Committees: Rules & Ethics,  Membership, Education, Culture, Health & Social Services, and Commerce & Economic Development. My attendance for regular Congressional Sessions, Special Sessions and Congressional Committee meetings is excellent. I have eight years of leadership and experience on the Osage Nation Congress. I have authored legislation to assist Osage’s with disabilities, created legislation to make our ethics laws stronger and supported appropriations that benefit all Osage people. I have been dedicated in the work I do for the Osage people. I will continue to listen, I will continue to do my due diligence, I will continue to have strong morals.

There is more work to do and I humbly ask for your vote and support as I seek Re-Election to the Osage Nation Congress.

Sincerely,

Alice Goodfox, MHR
