Alta Louise (Revard) Cole Obituary

Alta Louise Cole, 73, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022, at the Pawhuska Hospital.

Alta Louise Cole, 73, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022, at the Pawhuska Hospital.

Alta was born January 13, 1949, in Fort Sill, Okla., the daughter of Maynard L. and Mary Rose (Brave) Revard. She was the granddaughter of Julia Baconrind Whitehorn and Andrew Brave and the great-granddaughter of Baconrind and Rose Chouteau. On Sept. 20, 1991, she married Patrick Warren Cole, Jr. in Bartlesville, Okla. Alta was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Pawhuska, American Legion Auxiliary and the Klash-Kah-She Club. She was a member of the Osage Nation. A homemaker, Alta loved cooking and she loved being with her grandchildren.

Surviving family includes her husband, Pat Cole; children Patrick Cole, III and Naudia Cole Jackson; sisters Julia Callea and Katy Tingtella; brother Maynard “Buff” Revard; grandchildren Ryleigh, Blayklee, Rayleigh and Serenity Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Alta was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard and Mary Rose Revard, and brother Rann Revard.

Rosary will be offered Monday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m., at the Wakon Iron Chapel, in Pawhuska. Traditional services will be Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 8 a.m., also at the Chapel. Mongrain Lookout will officiate. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Father Emmanuel Nduka will officiate. Interment will be in the Baconrind Cemetery, Pawhuska.
