The Osage Nation’s Community Health Representatives department (CHR) is hosting a Car Seat Check event from 2-4 p.m. in Hominy on Aug. 11.
The event will be hosted at E.W. Car Wash and National Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will provide a free Car Seat Check to anyone that stops by.
CHR staff, Safe Kids Tulsa and the Pawnee Service Unit-Environmental Health Department have partnered and will be selling car seats for $10 and $15.
To qualify for a Safe Kids Tulsa car seats parents or guardians must show proof of government assistance (WIC, Food Stamp Card, Medicaid/Sooner Care card, Commodities, etc.). The car seats are $10.
The Pawnee Service Unit-Environmental Health Department is requesting parents or guardians with Native American children to provide proof of CDIB from a federally recognized tribe.
The Osage Nation CHR program will have car seats available for $15 for Osage tribal members. Parents must show proof of membership card.
