Congress to consider appropriation bills for various projects, endeavors

Expansion of the Grayhorse Village Chapel, $1M for school clothing, supplies and technology reimbursement, a Hominy Senior Housing Complex, and more continue to be discussed and voted on during the 2022 Tzi-Sho Session

During the 2022 Tzi Sho Session, the Eighth Osage Nation Congress will consider appropriation bills requesting funds for specific projects or endeavors.

In addition to the 2023 fiscal year budgets for government operations, other appropriation bills filed for consideration include:

  • ONCA 22-75 (sponsored by Congressional Speaker Alice Goodfox) is “An Act to authorize and appropriate $1 million to the Executive Branch of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for the expansion of the Chapel in the Hominy Indian Village.”
  • ONCA 22-81 (Congresswoman Pam Shaw) is “An Act to authorize and appropriate $1 million to the Executive Branch of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for the expansion of the Chapel in the Grayhorse Indian Village.”
  • ONCA 22-91 (Congresswoman Whitney Red Corn) is “An Act to authorize and appropriate $1 million to Financial Assistance Services for school clothing, supplies and technology reimbursement.”
  • ONCA 22-101 (Goodfox) is “An Act to authorize and appropriate a supplemental amount of $700,000 to the Executive Branch of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for the purchase of land, design, engineering, and construction of a Senior Housing Complex in the town of Hominy.”
  • ONCA 22-102 (Congresswoman Jodie Revard) is “An Act to provide an appropriation to the Executive Branch Health Support Services in the amount of $2,149,173.”
  • ONCA 22-104 (Shaw) is “An Act to provide an appropriation to the Grayhorse Village Committee Fund in the amount of $125,000 for fiscal year 2023.”
  • ONCA 22-105 (Congresswoman Paula Stabler) is “An Act to provide an appropriation to Si-Si-A-Pe-Txa (newly-named health board) for fiscal year 2023 in the amount of $1,389,569.”
  • ONCA 22-106 (Stabler) is “An Act to provide an appropriation to the Hominy and Pawhuska Village Committee Funds in the amount of $406,720 for fiscal year 2023.”
  • ONCA 22-107 (Shaw) is “An Act to authorize and appropriate $20,000 to the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Osage and Pawnee Counties as a grant to benefit members of the Osage Nation and the community.”
  • ONCA 22-109 (Congressman Eli Potts) is “An Act to authorize and appropriate $114,492 to the Osage Nation Butcher House Meats in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for flooring and cleaning improvements.”
  • ONCA 22-110 (Stabler) is “An Act to authorize and appropriate the amount of $2,752,861 to Osage LLC for business development investment capital.
