Eleanor C. Freeman Obituary

Eleanor C. Freeman, 94, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018, in the St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, OK.

Mrs. Freeman was born February 28, 1924, in Okesa, OK the daughter of Floyd Edward and Pearl (Quinton) Cheshewalla. On December 31, 1975, she married Mark N. Freeman, Jr. in McAlester, OK. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2015. A homemaker, Eleanor loved spending time with Mark and her family. She also enjoyed playing golf, where she had been the Club Champion at the Pawhuska Golf & Country Club.

Surviving are her daughters: Kay Swanson and husband Richard, Michelle Free and Celeste Davis and husband Mark; step-children Mark Freeman, III, Linda Cassity, Becky Leonard, Frank L. Freeman, Teresa Meade, and Susan Bussey; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, as well as other family and friends. In addition to her husband, Mark, Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Deborah Gay Carter.

A rosary was recited Monday, December 10 at the Kendrick McCartney Johnson Funeral Home. Mass was offered Tuesday, December 11 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pawhuska. Father Sean Donovan officiated. Interment was in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Kendrick McCartney Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
