Employee merit bill amendment filed, and others

The Fifth Osage Nation Congress continues its special session on Dec. 1 with Day Four to consider legislative matters including new filed bills.

According to the Legislative Branch website, additional bills and resolutions filed include:

ONCA 17-06: (sponsored by Congressman Ron Shaw) An Act to amend ONCA 16-107 that created the Osage Nation Retained Revenue Fund. This bill refers to the retained revenue fund created by Congressional passage of ONCA 16-107 during the fall Tzi-Zho Session. Principal Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear vetoed the bill, but the Congress voted to override the veto before adjourning the session in October.

ONCA 17-07: (Shaw) An Act to amend ONCA 16-92 to provide a supplemental appropriation to Health and Wellness Division in the amount of $1,411,723.

ONCA 17-08: (Shaw) An Act to amend ONCA 16-119 to provide a supplemental appropriation for cultural donations to the Marine Corps Detachment in hte amount of $20,000.

ONCA 17-09: (Congresswoman Shannon Edwards) An Act to amend ONCA 16-100 to change the definition of administrative leave and holiday leave, to amend the provision on paid time off. This bill seeks to make amendments to ONCA 16-100, which was passed in the Tzi-Zho Session, but has since drawn criticism for the law sections pertaining to how ON government employee time off and administrative leave is used.

ONCA 17-10: (Congressman William “Kugee” Supernaw) An Act to appropriate ($442,000) to the Restricted Real Property Re-purchase Fund.

ONCA 17-11 (Congresswoman Maria Whitehorn) An Act to amend and restate ONCA 15-19 establishing a revolving fund for commercial property lease revenue; separating agricultural real property and commercial property; to direct deposits into the Osage Commercial Property Fund; to insert a severability clause and repeal ONCA 16-117.

ONCA 17-12: (Congresswoman Alice Buffalohead) An Act to repeal ONCA 16-100 and to reinstate all paid time off (PTO) hours lost due to implementation of ONCA 16-100.

ONCA 17-13 (Congressman RJ Walker) An Act to amend ONCA 16-93 to provide a supplemental appropriation to the Education Division in the amount of $339,206.

ONCA 17-14 (Walker) An Act amend ONCA 16-96 to provide a supplemental appropriation to the Government Operations Division in the amount of $305,064.
