Jim Duncan will be giving a guest lecture on the history of the In-Lon-Schka at 10 a.m. Nov. 12 at the Wah Zha Zhi Cultural Center. Duncan, who has a master’s in American Studies from Northeastern State University and is an adjunct instructor of anthropology at Tulsa Community College, has been dancing as a guest in the Osage In-Lon-Schka since 1971.

Duncan specializes in the history and culture of the Dhegiha speaking tribes (Osage, Ponca, Kansa, Quapaw and Omaha) and he has a seat in the Ponca Hethushka. His lecture is a collaborative effort between the Osage Tribal Museum, the Historic Preservation Office and the Cultural Center.
