ON Congress to consider board and commission appointees

The Fourth Osage Nation Congress will consider several individuals during the Hun-Kah Session who are appointed to several board/ commission positions.

Principal Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear is appointing several individuals to the boards and commission posts and those appointments are subject to confirmation consideration by the Congress during session. The appointments will receive initial consideration by the Congressional committees of jurisdiction before they are considered by the entire Congress for a floor vote of confirmation.

As of April 14, the following individuals are appointed to the Nation’s respective board/ commissions and these appointees are scheduled for initial consideration by Congressional committees:

Grayhorse Indian Village Five-Man Board: Carol Kliesen, Mark Freeman IV

Election Board: Anita Fields, Gary Weyl

Gaming Commission: Michael Kidder

Health Authority Board: Cecelia Tallchief

Traditional Cultural Advisors Committee: Charles Red Corn, Richard Luttrell
