The Kaw Nation Women’s Health Program is offering services at the Wah-Zha-Zhi Health Center for those who qualify.
The program pays for Mammograms, Clinical Breast Exams, Pap Tests and Additional Diagnostic Tests, according to Kaw Women’s Health. The goals of the program are to detect breast or cervical abnormalities if any exist. The eligibility criteria for the program is that patients must be a Native American woman of a federally recognized tribe, must be 21-64 years old or older, no private health insurance, no Medicare B, no Medicaid, underinsured or low income, according to Kaw Women’s Health.
The goals for the program include early detection of pre-cancerous or cancerous lesions at their earliest stage. Ensure that women with abnormal test results or a diagnosis of cancer receive appropriate and timely diagnostic treatment services, according to Kaw Women’s Health.
