ON Congress reviewing FY 2021 budget and appropriation bills in Tzi-Zho Session

As the 2020 Osage Nation Congressional Tzi-Zho Session progresses, the Seventh ON Congress is considering the Nation’s 2021 fiscal year budgets in committee meetings before votes by the 12-member Legislative Branch.

The following appropriation bills are on file with the Congress using 5-6 member committee meetings for initial review and consideration of the various department and program budgets across the Nation’s three-branch government:

ONCA 20-72 (sponsored by Second Congressional Speaker Jodie Revard, who is the current Appropriations Committee chair) is an act to provide an appropriation of Village Committee funds in the amount of $300,020.

ONCA 20-73 (Revard) is an act to provide an appropriation to the Osage Minerals Council in the amount of $216,547.

ONCA 20-74 (Revard) is an act to provide and appropriation to the Judicial Branch in the amount of $549,427.

ONCA 20-75 (Revard) is an act to provide an appropriation to the Legislative Branch in the amount of $2,023,433.

ONCA 20-76 (Revard) is an act to provide an appropriation to the Executive Branch in the amount of $48,065,630.

ONCA 20-65 (Congresswoman Paula Stabler) is an act to authorize and appropriate $1,720,000 to the Nation’s Capital Asset Fund for Wakon Iron Chapel in the Pawhuska Indian Village.

ONCA 20-78 (Stabler) is an act to reassign an appropriation of restricted third-party revenue from the Wah-Zha-Zhe Health Center to the Health Clinic Construction Fund in the amount of $2 million.

Congress will also review and consider other non-budget legislation as time allows during the 24-day session with the session’s priority on the FY 2021 budget and appropriation bills first.

Also, the Congress is slated to meet with the Gaming Enterprise Board and Osage Casinos management as part of considering action on the next year’s annual plan of operations for the Nation’s seven-casino business entity. The Congress will consider the annual plan in resolution ONCR 20-25 (Congresswoman Alice Goodfox), which declares Congressional consent and approval of the Osage Nation Gaming Enterprise Board's Annual Plan of Operation for the fiscal year 2021.
