Gaming Enterprise Board looking for new CEO

Osage Casinos CEO Neil Cornelius is on administrative leave until Sept. 27. Gaming Enterprise Board member Mark Simms verified the board chose not to renew his contract.

“Simply, his contract was coming to an end and we didn’t want to wait until it just ran out to start advertising, we wanted to start advertising immediately,” Simms said. “Nothing that he did wrong, in fact he did a good job.”

The board will start advertising for the position as soon as possible, Simms said. The board doesn’t have any candidates in mind and said the salary for the position would be decided based on the candidate’s experience and expertise.
