Georgann Irene Price was born August 3, 1948, in Southgate, Calif., to Richard Gilbert Vest Sr. and Donna Foreman. She grew up in the California area, but she moved around a lot, especially after her mother passed away while she was a young girl. Then she went on the road with her dad who was a professional wrestler. Richard started wrestling when Georgann was three years old. He was known as Chief Big Heart in the ring, and she was right there with him. Georgann was so proud of her father. She was the oldest of five siblings – she had four brothers – Doug Roberts, John Vest, Rick Vest and Mark Vest.
Georgann went after her dreams and became a Registered Nurse. She worked a lot in the home health area of medicine. She was very dedicated to her patients. She had a really big heart and it showed as she cared for those she was offering nursing to. Georgann also took in people that needed help to get back on their feet.
Georgann was a very active member in the Catholic Church, she loved to celebrate the holy days of the church. Georgann was married to David Price, she will be laid to rest with him at Fort Sill National Cemetery.
Georgann loved her dogs. They were like her children, and she cared so much for them. She loved music; singing karaoke and dancing was a favorite pastime for her. Georgann was lots of fun but was straightforward. She was very eccentric. Georgann’s husband loved to make jewelry, and she loved to wear jewelry; it was a great combination. She was very artistic. Georgann was a member of the Osage Nation.
Georgann spent the last few years in the nursing home, and the staff loved her. She passed from this life early on Saturday morning, Nov. 23, 2024, at the Skiatook Nursing Home.
Georgann Irene Price was preceded in death by her husband David Price, and her parents, Richard Gilbert Vest Sr. and Donna Foreman. She is survived by her brother, John and Lulu Vest and their children, Sarah Wasson, Mark Flores, Andy Flores, Sofie Loranke, Desirae Vest; brother, Rick and Lucy Morris and their children, Desirae Morris, Star Vest, Shaula Vest; brother, Mark Vest; adopted daughter, Jennifer and Chris Cawthon and their children, Lisa, Jacob, Jackson and Christopher; grandchildren, Mariah, Jahmean, Amina and Jabari; and cousin, Susan Fletcher.
The funeral service for Georgann was Nov. 26, 2024, at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements were provided by Powell Funeral Home.
