Golfing for a good cause

Hosted by the ON Financial Assistance office as a parenthood initiative, due to its success, Director Andrea Kemble said the tournament will be an annual event moving forward

The Osage Nation Financial Assistance Department hosted a parenthood initiative golf tournament on March 18, 2023, at the Adams Municipal Golf Course in Bartlesville, Okla.

The tournament is a collaborative event of two grants for Native American youth and is a parenthood initiative to create a healthy environment for our youth to learn a sport with a parent or role model. It was free to all golfers and included breakfast snacks, lunch, and light refreshments. Each golfer received a door prize and promotional golf materials. The Financial Assistance office plans to host this event each year. This year’s event consisted of 22 golfers.
