Howard Mallotte West III Obituary

Howard Mallotte West III, 66 years, of Austin, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at his home in Austin.

Howard was born in Stillwater, Okla., on Jan. 10, 1949 to Howard M. West, Jr. and Juanita (Ware) West. He grew up in Hominy, Okla., and resided in Austin for the last 30 years. He graduated from Hominy High School and attended OU, OSU, and University of Texas after graduation. Howard ran track at Hominy High School and OSU, and he was in the Army and part of the 101st Airborne Division, Pathfinder, and served in Vietnam. Howard worked as a Construction Worker, and was an avid OU Fan.

Howard is survived by: Daughter, Mary West of El Reno, OK; Granddaughter, Mary Proctor; Grandson, Julian West; Great Grandson, Aidan Proctor; two Sisters: Francis Williams of Fairfax, Okla., and Nita L. West of Tulsa, Okla.; Brother, Dan G. West of Copan, Okla.; two Cousins: Kim and Joe, and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

He is preceded in death by: his Parents, Howard and Juanita, and Grandson Matthew Jones.

The funeral service was held at 9 a.m., Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at the Osage Indian Village Chapel in Hominy.
