Melissa Goodfox Dailey announces her candidacy for Osage Nation Congress

My name is Melissa Goodfox Dailey and I am proudly announcing my candidacy for a seat in the Osage Nation Congress 2020 election. I will provide the support to protect our culture and help grow our Osage Nation.

I am the daughter of Amos and Janet (Red Eagle) Goodfox. The granddaughter of Amos Goodfox Sr. (Pawnee) and Myrtle Morrell Unap. The granddaughter of Harry and Willimina Red Eagle. I am the sister of Lance, Joe and Timmy Goodfox. And, the proud mother of Amos, Rachel and Chelsea Dailey.

I was born and raised in Hominy and I have participated in the I’n Lo’n Schka  my entire life.

I received my associate degree in Business Administration from Tulsa Community College.  I also received my BBA in Accounting from the University of Houston – Victoria. I am a Senior Accountant with an oil and gas company in Houston Texas. I have helped provide the coordination of the Houston Texas gathering meetings and the 2020 Strategic Planning meetings.

My goals are to :  

1.       Assist with economic sustainability development

2.       Support the health and well-being initiatives.

3.       Promote continuing education efforts.

4.       Uphold the checks and balances of our government system.

I would greatly appreciate your vote on June 1, 2020. I would be honored to serve our great Osage Nation . I will work hard to support and protect our culture and heritage while promoting the economic development of the Wahzhazhe Nation.
