ON Crisis Assistance program increases to $2,000 nationwide

The program assists enrolled Osage Nation members in alleviating crisis situations beyond financial control

Crisis Assistance has been increased to $2,000 per case for Osage Nation tribal members nationwide.

“We hear our Osage constituents in their time of need and are thankful to increase the crisis assistance,” said Financial Assistance Director Andrea Kemble in a prepared release. “This assistance will allow our people to cover essential needs. Our team is ready to help!”

The program increased to $2,000 for the 2023 fiscal year (Oct. 1, 2022 – Sept. 30, 2023). The previous amount available was $1,000. Applicants who have already received assistance up to $1,000 in the fiscal year 2023 (Oct. 1, 2022 – Sept. 30, 2023) are now eligible to request up to an additional $1,000 for a total of $2,000 assistance for the 2023 fiscal year.

It is important to note that the program makes payments directly to vendors and not the applicants.

The program assists enrolled Osage Nation members in alleviating crisis situations beyond financial control. Assistance is available to address the following crisis situations:

  • Homelessness or Threat of Homelessness
  • Unsafe/Unsanitary Living Conditions
  • Fire/Natural Disaster
  • Major Car Repair
  • Family Emergency

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Completed Crisis Assistance application with support documentation
  • Current and valid enrollment with the Osage Nation Membership Department
