ON Financial Assistance hosting Tree of Gifts for children in need

The Osage Nation’s Financial Assistance Department is hosting its annual Tree of Gifts as a donation drive to provide Christmas presents to children in need.

The public is invited to view the Financial Assistance Department Christmas tree at the government campus in Pawhuska. The tree is decorated with ornaments listing the Christmas wishes of children who receive supportive services from the Nation’s Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program (TANF).

Donors may pick up an ornament from the Tree of Gifts, shop for the listed gifts and donate the items back to the Financial Assistance Department for delivery to the children.

To pick up a stocking and donate, visit the Financial Assistance Department located at the new Welcome Center at 239 W. 12th St. All gifts must be delivered to the Financial Assistance Department by Dec. 16.

According to a news release, ON Financial Assistance is also requesting donations of gift bags, wrapping paper, bows, clear tape, and gift tags to wrap the donated gifts. There will be an opportunity to help with giftwrapping and deliveries on Dec. 19, 20, and 21.

The ON Financial Assistance Department can be reached at (918) 287-5325 for more information on the Tree of Gifts.
