Osage Casinos Pawhuska to host New Year’s Dinner for Osage elders Jan. 19

The dinner was originally scheduled for Jan. 5, but due to inclement weather and concerns for elders' safety, Casino management rescheduled the dinner to Sunday, Jan. 19.

Osage Casino and Hotel Pawhuska is ringing in the New Year with a buffet-style complimentary meal for Osage Elders aged 65+. All attendees are invited to bring a plus one and must show their Osage Nation Membership Card at the door.

“Osage Casinos recognizes that Osage Nation Elders are vital to the preservation of Osage culture and history,” according to a prepared release. “Community gatherings like this are an opportunity for appreciation and sharing of the Osage culture. This New Year’s meal for Osage Elders is hosted to honor the Elders’ contributions to the Nation.”

The dinner was originally scheduled for Jan. 5, but due to inclement weather and concerns for elders’ safety, Casino management rescheduled the dinner to Sunday, Jan. 19.

The dinner will be buffet-style, featuring holiday favorites such as turkey, ham, roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, and a variety of other classic side dishes. Guests can also look forward to an assortment of holiday desserts such as pies, cakes, bread pudding, and more.
