Osage News Candidate Questionnaire – RJ Walker

The Osage News asked candidates to answer 13 questions about their families, Osage culture, work experience and education. The News did not edit their responses and all questions were optional.

1)    Name: RJ Walker

2)    Family: My wife Kristina and I have been married for nearly 20 years and have two sons and three daughters.

3)    Osage ancestry: My Osage ancestry includes on my paternal side; great grandmother Lillie Bighorse Cunningham, grandmother Addie Walker and on my maternal side; great grandparents Fred and Pearl Cheshewalla and Charles and Emerine Carter, grandparents Charles Carter and Eleanor Freeman, who married Mark Freeman when I was a young child.

4)    Work Experience: Prior to being elected to Congress I worked as the Osage Nation Roads Department Director from 2002-2012. 

5)    Are you cultural? My family and I participate annually in the Inlonshka as members of the Eagle Clan in the Pawhuska District.
