The Journal Record’s 2024 Native American Power List came out and several members of the Osage Nation made the cut.
The Journal Record announced an influential list of Native honorees from across Oklahoma that play a valuable role in moving the state forward and ensuring that Oklahoma’s workforce thrives in a constantly changing landscape.
Principal Chief of the Osage Nation Geoffrey Standing Bear was recognized as a key influential leader on the list. Kimberly Pearson, CEO of Osage Casinos, is the first female to lead Osage Casinos and has continued to bring growth to the organization during her tenure.
In addition to Standing Bear and Pearson, the list included Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt, President of Oklahoma Panhandle State University Julie Dinger, and author, songwriter and Osage News reporter Chelsea T. Hicks.
Pearson said, “I am honored to be included on this list among so many inspiring Native leaders. Representation of Native women in positions of leadership is so important. I work hard to proudly represent Osage Casinos as we create opportunities for our Nation.”
