Tom “Brad” Bradshaw passed from this life on May 25, 2022 in Rochester, New York.
Brad was born on Dec. 28, 1952 in Carmel, California and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
According to his mother, Irene Baker Bradshaw, Brad was a “man’s man.” Standing 6’4″ at 180 pounds, he had broad shoulders and a deep “radio voice,” all of which likely attributed to his success as a salesman of custom kitchens.
As a young man, he took up scuba diving and eventually dove with Mel Fisher off the Florida Keys in search of the Spanish galleon Nuestra Senora de Atocha, which Fisher eventually found, along with its $400 million treasure. Brad captained his sailboat, the “Griffon,” out of Key West Harbor. Mom Irene is especially proud that Brad seemed unafraid to put himself in life-or-death situations to go to the aid of others in danger.
His later years were spent supporting his large family: his wife of 40 years, Linda, and children Joe, Trevor and Emily. Grandson Marley Briddon was his fishing partner. Brad will be forever remembered by his family for his natural magnetism, his ability to make people laugh, and his innate sensitivity to others.
